Problems With Masks

1.  They are ugly.  They make you look ugly.

2.  Masks are unclean.  Put on a new mask and in five minutes it is damp, dirty, warm, and a great place to breed all sorts of bacteria.  Masks also cause you to re-breath your exhaled air. They inhibit your breathing.

3.  Masks don’t work.  They leak.  Coronavirus goes through and around the mask.  It’s kind of like saying my chain-link fence will keep out mosquitoes.

I don’t condone smoking, but you may want to ask a smoker or vaper to do a test.  Ask them to inhale, put on their mask, then exhale.  That shows how valuable masks are.

People wearing masks rub their face, nose, eyes, mouth with their hands.  Thereby circumventing any supposed mask protection.

The rates of Covid (CCP Virus) are about the same in areas of mask mandates, and those without mask mandates.

If you want to follow the science, see the book, Unmasked by Ian Miller.

4.  They are cruel to kids.  Lately at a family gathering, no one was wearing masks.  Among the group were kids and a couple of infants.  We all survived, and had a great time.

But just imagine if all were wearing masks.  The kids could not have seen or read the faces of adults.  No one could have seen expressions.  The infants would have been confused and felt like they were in a twilight zone.

A mother told of how her child came home from school and showed a drawing.  The child’s picture showed people with no mouths or noses.  Masks can contribute to all types of psychological problems.

5.  Masks interfere with communication.  To some extent we all read lips and expressions.  Imagine the difficulty of the deaf when everyone is wearing a mask.

6.  Masks make things more difficult in courtrooms.

It is interesting that in the Pandemic, TV shows had their stars wearing masks.  Then, inexplicably they would sometimes wear masks, and the next scene not wear them.  Then they stopped altogether.  Why?  Perhaps because it’s hard to act while wearing a mask.  Masks seriously detract from a performance.

Criminals, however, seem to love masks!

7.  Studies have shown masks make little to no difference in this Pandemic.

8.  Some doctors have emphasized masks protect the wearer.  If you agree, then wear a mask, regardless of what others are doing, and you will be protected.  That way others are free to live their lives according to their choice.  But don’t bully others.

9.  The CDC has been changing, confusing, and unreliable, concerning masks and Covid.  They censor alternate viewpoints.

For a reminder of how doctors and scientists can refuse to listen to the science, refuse to consider the evidence – read up on Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis of the 1840s.  He was a real hero.  Sadly, what happened to Dr. Semmelweis, still happens today.

10.  Liberal hypocrisy has been monumental concerning the wearing of masks.  Most every politician in the country that promoted mask mandates, has been caught not wearing a mask in crowds of people.  “Rules for thee, but not for me.”  If they really believed wearing a mask is a life-or-death issue, they would take their own mask wearing more seriously.

11.  Why do news broadcasters say mask wearing is following the science, and the other side is being political and not following the science.  That is an unfair, biased attitude.  There are good doctors and scientists on both sides of the issue.  Why not hear both sides?  Why censor one side?  Why not get back to free speech?

I’ve seen one person driving a car, dutifully wearing a mask.  Someone walking alone down a road with no one around, wearing a mask.  People wearing masks pulled down under their nose (which is the same a not wearing a mask).

Many have been back to normal for a year or more.  Some never wore masks at all, except in stores or transportation where they were required to do so.

It’s time to get back to normal.  We face challenges and dangers every day.  Live healthy.  Eat right, exercise, get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, get some sunshine.  Wash your hands.

But don’t force children or anyone to wear a mask.  Unless you’re performing surgery.

Let’s support freedom when it comes to masks.  You’re free to wear a mask, and you’re free to not wear a mask.
