Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Unborn Babies

June 24, AD 2022 the United State Supreme Court ruled in favor of the unborn.  Your state will no longer be forced to allow abortion.  The state can now make that decision on their own.  After almost 50 years, now a state can choose to not kill unborn babies.  They can limit all or most abortions.  This is a great day for America.  A day for which many have been praying for 50 years.

This ruling (Dobbs v. Jackson) acknowledges there never was a right to abortion in the US Constitution.  This ruling also means countless lives will be saved.  It is always a good day when Planned Parenthood is packing up and leaving town.  Perhaps it will cause some to think a little more soberly before they engage in immoral behavior.  Don’t risk pregnancy, children, until you are married.  Perhaps more will consider life and adoption.

For those involved in the abortion industry, there is always hope and forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ (1 John 1:9).  See Abby Johnson and Unplanned, the movie, linked below.

This ruling also reveals that voting really does matter.  For years I’ve heard it argued that it doesn’t matter if you vote Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal / progressive.  Because we still have abortion and Roe v. Wade.  Well, while it took some time, that argument never was, and is no longer, valid.

Specifically in this case, those who voted for George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Donald J. Trump, made a huge difference.  They were the presidents who nominated the Supreme Court justices who have now voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.  Also, voting for conservative senators (including Leader Mitch McConnell) made a huge difference for the Pro-Life position.  Senators are the ones who vote to confirm a president’s Supreme Court nominations.  To sum up, a big thank you to those who voted for Bush I, Bush II, Trump, and those who consistently vote conservative and Pro-Life.  Please continue to do so.

 Strangely, the mainstream media are referring to this decision as polarizing.  Why is it polarizing now, but not for the last 50 years?

I realize some states will remain Pro-Abortion.  Some will have no restrictions on abortion, right up till just before birth.  But many states will now be permitted to choose to be Pro-Life.  And, we can pray and vote for more states to recognize the value of human life, including the unborn.

Have you noticed the euphemisms so often used by those who are for abortion, including most media?  According to the dictionary, a euphemism is a mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.

Instead of killing unborn babies – Abortion.

Instead of Abortionist – Abortion Provider

Instead of Baby / Unborn Baby – Fetus or Tissue.

Instead of Abortion Pill – Abortion Medicine; Women’s Health.

Instead of Pro-Abortion – Pro-Choice; Abortion Rights.

Instead of Abortion Mill – Women’s Health Clinic.

On the other hand, Liberals and the Media refer to the Pro-Life side in harsh terms.

Instead of Pro-Life, they use Anti-Abortion or Anti-Choice, or Anti- Abortion Rights.  I’ve sometimes wondered if reporters or journalists can even say, “Pro-Life.”

The media (ABC; CBS; NBC; CNN…) and liberals also commonly ask the tough questions to the Pro-Life cause and Crises Pregnancy Centers, and ask softball questions to the Pro-Choice / Pro-Abortion side.  They speak of Choice yet never consider the lives of babies and their lack of Choice.

 To get both sides of this issue, watch the mainstream media, but also watch / read foxnews.com; NTD news; theepochtimes.com; newsmax; baptistpress.com; etc.  Consider supporting the Pro-Life Crisis Pregnancy Center near you.

 This is a great time for America.  This is the beginning of Spiritual Awaking in America.  Pray for Revival.  Pray for God’s blessings upon us.

Unplanned, the Movie

Unplanned is a movie about the true story of Abby Johnson, who worked at a Texas Planned Parenthood for eight years before becoming a pro-life activist..  The movie is rated R, but there is no profanity or nudity.  It is now showing across the country.

Most networks have refused to run paid advertisements for Unplanned.  One of the easiest ways to see the liberal bias in media is to bring up the subject of abortion.

Some believe the R rating was intended to hurt the movie’s success.

Some are pointing out the irony about the R rating.  A 15 year old girl can get an abortion, but she can’t watch a pro-life movie about abortion.

Unplanned does show some intense scenes about abortion.  A side of abortion you will probably never see portrayed in the regular media.

From Baptist Press:
"The movie's status as a hit defies logic," Christian film critic Michael Foust told Baptist Press. "It was rated R -- a rating that automatically makes it a no-go for many Christians. It's about abortion -- a topic that most Americans would rather avoid. And its ads were banned on many stations, including Lifetime, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, HGTV, Food Network, Hallmark Channel and USA Networks.

"Most films would have failed in such a scenario. But the controversy about the rating and the advertising ban gave it attention it otherwise would not have received, sparking a backlash among moviegoers who supported it in droves," Foust said in written comments.

Produced by Pure Flix, "Unplanned" tells the true story of Abby Johnson's ascent to become one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in America as well as her subsequent conversion to pro-life views. The film is based on Johnson's 2011 book of the same title.

Official Unplanned Movie Trailer

It should also be pointed out Unplanned shows hope and forgiveness for those who have had an abortion, or been involved in the abortion industry.

If you want to make a statement against those who have opposed this movie, you can do so in at least three ways.
First, go see Unplanned for yourself. I did so yesterday.
Second, tell others about it.
Third, pray that our American culture will wake up and turn against the taking of unborn lives.

Last, if you’re thinking of getting an abortion, please see this movie first.

Gosnell, and Other Pro-Life Movies

There are several pro-life movies you may find interesting.  The most current one is Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer (rated PG-13).

The national media, who claim to be balanced and unbiased, really show their one-sidedness on the issue of abortion.  When a pro-life issue like Gosnell comes along, they usually ignore it.  They also find it very difficult to say the word, “pro-life.”  Yet they have no problem using the preferred word, “pro-choice,” of those who are pro-abortion like Planned Parenthood.  When the subject of abortion comes up, the media usually asks tough questions of the pro-life side; almost never do they ask tough questions of the pro-choice side.  Hollywood is usually the same.

During Gosnell’s trial, the media for the most part ignored it.  Now that the movie is out, Facebook and NPR (National Public Radio) have refused to run paid advertising for the movie Gosnell.  Kind of shows which side they are on.

Pro-Life Movies
Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.
Bella, the story of a young woman who decides against abortion through a friend's intervention
October Baby, the story of a young adult who learns she survived a failed abortion attempt as an infant.
Crescendo, a short movie that tells how Beethoven nearly was aborted.  (see more at bpnews)

A couple of quotes by Cal Thomas and Baptist Press:

“While not nearly as gruesome as the death camps Eisenhower saw, the film "Gosnell" forces viewers to confront what has been done to 60 million (so far) babies and women in America since abortion became legal in 1973. It's worth seeing with someone on the fence about abortion and even a pro-choice person who is honest enough to consider the counterargument affirming life at all stages.
According to the Pew Research Center, opinions on abortion between 1995 and 2017 have remained fairly stable with "57 percent say(ing) abortion should be legal in all or most cases, while 40 percent say it should be illegal in all or most cases."
"Gosnell" could move those numbers in a pro-life direction.”
-Cal Tomas

“Facebook and NPR have refused to run paid advertising for Gosnell, and crowdsourcing website Kickstarter banned Gosnell's producers from using the platform to raise money, according to media reports.”

Many theaters are refusing to show Gosnell.  You may have to do a little research to find a place to see it.  If you can, support it and thank the theater for showing it.

Why Abortion Is Wrong

1. Abortion kills a living human being.

2. All humans are made in the image of God.

3. All human life is sacred and should be treated with respect.

4. Human life is not to be taken without just cause.

5. Abortion coarsens society.

6. Abortion causes great harm to the mother, and often great harm to the father and the doctors and nurses who perform abortions.

Holy Scripture related to abortion
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

-Genesis 1:27 NKJV

Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
-Psalm 100:3

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
-Psalm 127:3

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
-Psalm 139:13-16

A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood.

-Proverbs 6:17

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
And He who formed you from the womb:
“I am the Lord, who makes all things,
Who stretches out the heavens all alone,
Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;
-Isaiah 44:24

“Listen, O coastlands, to Me,
And take heed, you peoples from afar!
The LORD has called Me from the womb;
From the matrix of My mother He has made mention of My name.
-Isaiah 49:1

4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
5 “ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
-Jeremiah 1:4-5

41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

-Luke 1:41, 44

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

-1 Corinthians 6:19-20

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace.

-Galatians 1:15

Cecil The Lion, Hunting, Paige Patterson

HARARE, Zimbabwe (BP) -- With mainstream and social media in an uproar over the apparently illegal killing of Cecil the lion, Baptist leaders have underscored the legitimacy of legal hunting and condemned the hypocrisy of valuing wildlife over unborn children.

"The Bible says much about hunting and without one derogatory word," said Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. "But it is not just hunting at issue. Fishing and the eating of any kind of meat is at issue since [with] all of these, [animals] must die in order to feed people. The Bible makes it clear that the animals were given to men to meet their various needs including food. I do distinguish between killers and hunters. I always taught my children that we use every animal taken. Skinning a rattlesnake, a porcupine and a skunk underscored all of this for my children. They discovered that clothing and in many cases food can be gained but that each creature is God's artistic creation."

The preciousness of God's creation requires that humans "not just go out and shoot up the countryside," Patterson, a veteran of some 20 African hunts, told Baptist Press in written comments. "Almost all the animals taken in Africa go to the poor of the countries to eat, for which, particularly in Zimbabwe, they are most grateful."

Cecil, a 13-year-old Zimbabwean lion, was killed in early July by American dentist Walter Palmer after the animal was lured out of Hwange National Park, where hunting is illegal, the New York Times reported. Zimbabwean officials say they want to extradite Palmer to face charges, but Palmer claims he was following the lead of professional guides and did not know his actions were illegal, USA Today reported.

Patterson denounced illegal hunting and said if any laws were broken related to Palmer's hunt, "the local outfitter and professional hunter" should be prosecuted. He added that "a man is innocent until proven guilty and rush to judgment is in this case, as [in] all others, unwise."

Most hunting outfits in Africa "are run by men of high ethical and moral conduct and in accordance with the laws of the land," Patterson said. Hunters "are normally your leading conservationists. After all, they are dependent upon the prosperity of the herds. That is why almost all forms of African and Indian game thrive in Texas today. Well regulated practices of hunting guarantee their survival."

Patterson called much of the press' outrage over Cecil's death "the ultimate in hypocrisy," noting the relative lack of concern for aborted babies whose body parts have been sold by Planned Parenthood and for the evils perpetrated against the Zimbabwean people by President Robert Mugabe.

"Little or no outrage at the butchering of human babies and the selling of body parts by Planned Parenthood, but the death of a lion in Zimbabwe merits the ink," Patterson said. "And what about Zimbabwe itself? Why no furor over Mugabe's disregard for human life, the stealing of property by the government and the violence toward opposition leaders? What of the thousands of people that he has starved to death uselessly? And why not report on what hunters do to conserve the lions, elephants and rhinos both monetarily and in parks like Antelope Park in Zimbabwe where we have replaced every lion taken with multiple lions born and released into the wild? Why not tell people the truth about what happens in countries that stop hunting like Kenya and consequently lose all their rhinos to poachers?"

Mark Keith, pastor of Elkton (Ky.) Baptist Church and an avid hunter, told BP God has given humans responsibility to care for animal life, but that does not preclude hunting. He said humans should consume animals they kill during hunts and not engage in "the senseless killing of animals."

Patterson and Keith both cited hunting as a valuable means of building relationships between fathers and sons. Patterson added that speaking about hunting at men's banquets has allowed him to lead "several thousand" men and boys to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Cecil The Lion And Big Game Hunting

Excerpt from article by Nick Pinizzotto:

“The reality is, the worst thing you can do for a big game animal is to no longer hunt it. I realize that notion might not sit well with some, but it’s true. No animal in this country has ever gone extinct due to modern, regulated sport hunting. In fact, the opposite is true as they have instead flourished under the North American Wildlife Conservation model…

The reality is, human beings are part of the circle of life and there is no more humane way to manage wildlife than through hunting…

Mother Nature is not pretty as some suggest. Animals don’t just grow old and then walk off to die in their sleep surrounded by loved ones. Death in the wild often means being ripped apart by a predator while struggling to escape or dying of starvation or disease. Quite often, it is slow, painful and hideous…

In addition to the importance of hunting to conservation, it also provides nearly $90 billion economic impact per year in the U.S. alone. Much of that money gets plowed back into conservation efforts that not only help game animals, but all wildlife. In countries like South Africa, money derived from hunting is critically needed to support efforts to stop poaching and the uncontrolled killing of wildlife. There are dozens of other benefits to the people as well, which deserves attention itself.”

Isn’t it tragic that the national media cry over a lion, while unconcerned about Planned Parenthood cruelly killing, dismembering, and selling the body parts of unborn babies?

Also notice the biased news coverage of the hunting issue, just as they are biased on the issue of abortion and pro-life.

The Killing of Infants

Ever wonder why Christians oppose abortion? Part of the reason is found in the article below.

Why has the national news media ignored this story? Could it be because they do not want to show any negative aspects of abortion clinics? Could it be they are biased in favor of abortion?

Gosnell's Abortion Clinic Horrors Described

NASHVILLE (BP) -- Testimony to the horrors inside Kermit Gosnell's clinic continues to mount in the Philadelphia abortion doctor's murder trial.

In a trial that began in March, Gosnell faces seven counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of viable children who were killed after delivery and a count of third-degree murder in the death of a Virginia woman during a 2009 abortion.

Those seven babies were only some of hundreds at least six months into gestation who were killed outside the womb after induced delivery at Gosnell's clinic, a grand jury reported in 2011. After delivery, Gosnell -- or another staff member in his absence -- would jab scissors into the back of a baby's neck and cut the spinal cord, according to the grand jury. Gosnell called the killing of these children "snipping."

In recent testimony regarding practices at the Women's Medical Society clinic in West Philadelphia:

-- Former Gosnell employee Steven Massof said April 4 a "snipping" is "like a beheading," The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Massof, serving a residency with Gosnell he later learned was unaccredited, performed abortions at the clinic. During his testimony, he guided jurors to feel the spot on the back of their necks where the children's spines would be severed. Several jurors did so, according to The Inquirer. When mothers were given drugs to induce sudden contractions, "[I]t would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place," Massof said, according to Operation Rescue's Cheryl Sullenger, who was in the courtroom.

-- Lynda Williams said April 9 part of her job was to pick up the bodies of babies expelled from their mothers' wombs in the waiting room after receiving large doses of drugs to dilate their cervices. When a second-trimester child was still moving after being expelled into a toilet, Williams said she followed Gosnell's training by using scissors to cut his spinal cord. "I did it once, and I didn't do it again because it gave me the creeps," she said, The Inquirer reported.

-- Photos of several dead babies were shown to the jury April 2. Each had a "gaping wound" in the back of his neck, Sullenger reported.

-- Karen Feisullin, who performs abortions in her practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist, said April 2 she had never heard of a doctor "snipping" the spinal cords of babies, according to The Inquirer. She also said there was no medical reason for Gosnell's habit of severing the feet of babies and storing them in jars.

-- Philadelphia Fire Department Lt. Don Burgess testified March 25 that firefighters were unable to take a woman on a stretcher through the clinic's hallways because they were too narrow, The Inquirer reported. Paramedics were trying to save the life of Kamamaya Mongar, 41, who went into a coma during an abortion and died. Though an emergency door was near Mongar, it was chained shut and no one on staff, including Gosnell, had a key, Burgess said. Firefighters opened the door with a bolt-cutter to take her to the hospital, where she died.

Gosnell could receive a death sentence if he is found guilty of a first-degree murder charge. The trial is expected to last six to eight weeks.

Thank You President George W. Bush

Below is a letter sent to President George W. Bush in January, 2009. It was also published in the area newspaper, The Facts, Clute, Lake Jackson, TX.

Dear President George W. Bush,

Thank you for your service to our country these last eight years. I especially appreciate:

1. Your strong pro-life conviction. This was reflected in your speeches, personal stand, executive orders, signing into law pro-life measures, vetoes, and appointments.

2. Your Supreme Court appointments that showed respect for the sanctity of human life and judicial restraint.

3. Your conduct of the War Against Terrorism. I believe the terrorists were amazed at how you stood strong and struck back so forcefully.

4. Keeping our country safe from terrorism since the 9-11 attack. It is remarkable that our country has not suffered another major terrorist attack since 9-11-2001. I think that is no accident.

5. Bringing dignity and integrity to the White House.

6. Your support of marriage only being between one man and one woman.

7. Your personal faith in our Lord.

May God bless you, Laura and your family in the days ahead.

Sincerely,
David R. Brumbelow,
